It is a very good move by Samsung to make use of the Google Gingerbread’s features and by releasing the update, the performance of the phone seems to be far better. Samsung had been working quite a while on the Gingerbread update for its premier Galaxy S, but had left it in the middle to pay attention to more concerning things and now the things have seemed to be back on track for the Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S. This is also a heartening factor for the Galaxy II phone owners as these people can be sure that their phones will receive all the latest updates since the Galaxy S is the premier flagship model of Samsung. The Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S came as close as being officially available on the KIES software of Samsung. Later the update was withdrawn as the update contained a lot of updates. As for as the update goes, the phone is expected to gain a lot with the latest update and some of the top features are the visibility tweaks and the lesser battery drain.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro II

25 April, 2011 (15:10) | mobile technology, sony | By: monish

Sony has been quite instrumental in introducing new phones and hence does that old trick once again. This time, it joins hands with the fast growing Android. It already has released a series of Android phones with the Android collaboration and has been very successful in those phones too. The series of phones were named with the Xperia prefix and one of the first phones were Xperia X10 mini pro. It was the first QWERTY from Sony and Android combination. The phone was quite well received from people as it was a big hit among the people as soon as it was released. But one of the lacking features of the phone was its display and that proved to be a disappointment. That is the main reason that Sony has decided to go for a successor with all the features enhanced. The miniature screen of the original mini pro has been replaced by a good 3.0″inch display that is capable of displaying better pictures because of the increased screen resolution. There are quite a few good rumors to trust on and one of the biggest is that the bigger screen size makes way for a more roomier QWERTY keyboard along with a bigger battery life. Expectations are that the phone will be running the Gingerbread version of Android.
